Air Traffic Where You Live
If any readers are reletively new to airband listening and would like to know what frequencies are in use where you live, hit the comments button and give me an idea of your location and I will provide as much information as I can on the traffic and frequencies in your area.

I live in East Lancaashire and would like to know what I could hear on a scanner.
Can someone kindly advise on what's around the LEYLAND area of Lancashire, i know it's pretty busy up there, and i'm also on the approach for BLACKPOOL!!!

Hi! I am very new to this as well but believe that i do live in quite a good area for Air Band listening. I live in a place called Burgess Hill, West Sussex. We are about 15 miles south of Gatwick and about 50 or so miles south of Heathrow. We are also about 5 miles from the South Downs where i believe quite a few of the trans atlantic flights track as they come in. What info can you help me with as far as the best frequencies etc?
Regarding the frequencies best hear around the Stafford area providing you have an external antenna would be Manchester Centre, on 134.425 (Staffa Sector -incidently Staffa is a reporting point very close to Eccleshall)
London TC North 0n 133.075 and 130.925. Brecon area on 133.6
Hi, i have just a few months ago brought a uniden ubc30xlt as my first scanner.Also i live in Newport on the Isle of Wight and in the morring i can see flights coming in from the USA and in the late moring and the early afternoon i can see trans-atlantic flight climbing over the solent ( i think).Also i see some trans-atlantic flights that a at flight level still going east. Another flight path i can see is the one going to spain because i see easyjet ,ryanair ,monarch ,tap throught the binoculars.So can you tell me what frencencys are being used in my area. thank you in advance

I have just bought a ubc3500xlt but I'm having trouble picking any signals up.Do i need to attatch a different aerial than the one supplied? I live in the Wirral and I can get John Lennon airport air traffic controll but thats about it.Do you have any recomened frequencies for my area?
